Preconception Health - Prevention of Birth Defects - Disabilities - Infant Mortality

  Welcome
to
Moms-to-Be

There are many things that "Moms-to-Be" can do to prevent or diminish risks causing birth defects, mental retardation and a host of other disabilities and anomalies.

Birth defects are the leading cause of infant mortality and developmental problems. Many risks are completely preventable and other risks can be subtantially diminished.

Preconception health and pregnancy planning are two steps to be taken by "Moms-to-Be", their Doctors and other health care professionals.

We offer "Moms-to-Be" free access to selected websites providing high quality information.

We also offer access to a special computer program called "Moms-to-Be Program", to remind them of risks and as help them to "Plan a New Life". The "Moms-to-Be Program" is designed to:

 1. Present reminders of risks to "Baby-to-Be".
 2. Describe how to avoid or minimize these risks.
 3. Let the viewer choose which risks to include in a printed "Personal Reminder List of Risks" (PRLR).

The PRLR is designed for "Moms-to-Be" as an aid to the process of "Planning a New Life" as well as an aid for discussion with their Doctor and Health Care Providers. Click to take a look

NOTICE: access to this pilot version is free. However, in turn, would you please send us your comments by clicking on the "Contact us" link given above. Thank you.
